Hello and Welcome! 

This space was born from my own journey of faith, one that has not always been easy, but has always been held by the grace of God. My name is Sher, and I’m a believer, a wife, and a mother.

There was a time in my life when I nearly walked away from faith altogether. I had questions I couldn’t answer, hurts I couldn’t make sense of, and silence from God that felt unbearable. Later, I went through what many call a dark night of the soul. This is a season when I couldn’t feel God’s presence at all. My prayers felt empty, and I wondered if He had turned away from me. 

But even in the silence, the Lord was there. Looking back, I can see that God was doing a quiet work within me. He was stripping away my self-reliance, healing old wounds, and teaching me to trust Him not for what I could feel, but for who He is. When the light finally began to return, I found a deeper faith than I’d ever known before. 

That’s where Roses in the Desert was born. This blog began as my offering back to God. It became a way to share what I’d learned about His faithfulness in the dry or dark places. 

The name comes from Isaiah 35:1 NKJV, which says, “The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose...” 

My prayer is that this will be a place where you, too, discover that beauty can bloom even in the barren seasons.

Here at Roses in the Desert, I put my heart and soul into creating resources that help you deepen your relationship with our Lord. Whether you're a lifelong Christian, a new believer, or someone exploring faith, this blog is for you.

• Workbooks / Journals: Interactive materials designed to help you engage with Scripture and apply it to your life.
• Free Resources: I also offer a growing library of free printables, studies, and tools to support your time with God. They’re perfect for quiet time, journaling, and studying.
• Faith-Based Ebooks (Coming Soon!): I’m working on a series of ebooks to encourage and equip believers at every stage of their spiritual walk—from foundational truths to deeper topics of growth and grace. 
• Zazzle Products: Each item in my shop is lovingly crafted by me, with the aim of inspiring and uplifting your faith journey.

Every piece of content and each product is a labor of love, created with the hope that it brings you closer to God. Everything is made by me, with prayer and purpose, to help you grow in truth, strength, and grace. 

Statement of Faith

I believe in the Trinity: one God who lives forever and exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all that exists (seen and unseen).

Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God; He was born to the Virgin Mary and led a sinless life. Jesus performed many miracles during His ministry on earth. He is my Saviour, who lived, died, rose again, and ascended into heaven to redeem us. I believe Jesus intercedes for us and that He will return to earth in power and glory.

I believe salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, who is the only Mediator between us and God. He offers grace and eternal life to all who trust in Him. Our redemption is only made possible by accepting that Christ is the Son of God and believing He died and rose again to save us from our sins.

The Holy Spirit dwells within believers, guiding, convicting of sin, and empowering us to live out God’s truth. The Holy Spirit performs the action of new birth within an unbeliever and indwells believers. He enables us to live a godly life.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God to us, and it’s infallible. The Scriptures are the authoritative Word of God.

We are created in God’s image; however, due to sin, we are alienated from God. This alienation can only be taken away by accepting God’s redemption through faith in Jesus Christ.

Through prayer, Scripture, and community, I seek to grow closer to Him, trusting His perfect plan even when life seems uncertain.
